The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has appealed to Ghanaians to support his bid to take the country to the next level of digital transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\nAccording to Dr. Bawumia, Ghana can accelerate its development agenda if it embraces digitization, which the current government has already initiated.<\/p>\n
The NPP flagbearer made the appeal while addressing a large crowd at Mampong Akuapem in the Eastern Region after a health walk.<\/p>\n
He highlighted several achievements in the digital space, including the rollout of the Ghana Card, mobile money interoperability, and the digital address system, among others.<\/p>\n
Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaians to entrust the country to a party that believes in possibilities and has a track record of implementing innovative policies.<\/p>\n
The NPP parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North, Sammi Awuku, also emphasized the party\u2019s commitment to social intervention and economic policies that benefit Ghanaians.<\/p>\n
He cited examples of policies initiated under former President Kufuor\u2019s regime, which are still ongoing today, and urged Ghanaians to vote for the NPP in the upcoming general elections.<\/p>\n
The health walk and rally attracted thousands of NPP supporters, national executives, regional and constituency officials, as well as personalities from the music industry.<\/p>\n
