It attacks the immune system and breaks a person down,\u201d Lady Nana Yaa Nsarko emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo salvage your future, join the fight against its spread. We must work together to prevent new infections and support those living with the virus. Abstaining from sex and prevention are key.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1072542\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/miss-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1152\" height=\"864\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The Campaign aims to mentor and empower young people to prevent the spread of HIV, reduce stigma and make informed choices as they take control of their health. Lady Nana Yaa shared personal stories, highlighting the importance of abstinence, prevention, and support. \u201cHIV is no discriminator; it affects anyone, regardless of your age or career. If you don\u2019t follow a healthy life, you\u2019re at risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cIf you want to be on bigger platforms like me, please abstain from sex. But if you\u2019ve decided not to abstain, please don\u2019t condemn yourself rather, protect yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1072543\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/miss-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1152\" height=\"864\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The students engaged actively, sharing their knowledge and asking questions. According to the National AIDS\/ STI Control Programme (NACP), the 2023 national adult HIV prevalence is 1.5%, translating to approximately 334,095 people living with HIV in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Stephen Ayisi Addo, Programme Manager for the National AIDS\/STI Control Programme, urged students to acquire knowledge, stay healthy, and keep faith.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1072537\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/miss-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"809\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Rev.
