patient.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a statement, GMA said these <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">acts <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">impunity <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tend <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">make <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">difficult <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">health <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">workers <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accept <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">postings <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">some <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">facilities <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">further <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">derail it<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">efforts <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">encourage <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">doctors <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">accept <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">postings <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">deprived <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">areas<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GMA noted<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">procedures <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exist <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">resolve <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">any <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concerns <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grievances <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">about <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">issues <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">may <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">occur <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">any <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">health <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">facility <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rather <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">than <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">resorting <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">violence<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Association has therefore called on the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Police <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">administration <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">immediately <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">investigate the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">incident <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">bring <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">all <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">perpetrators <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">book<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, GMA has warned that if<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">threats <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">acts <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">threaten <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lives <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">doctors <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">other <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">health <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">professionals <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">properties <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">persist<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, they <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">no <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">choice than <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to ensure <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">doctors <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">leave <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">such <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">facilities <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">if <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">their <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">safety <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cannot <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">guaranteed<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1jjAmitJcYHmsa74jcnHniETfXSiRqQKN\/preview\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><br \/>The incident reportedly occurred in the hospital\u2019s emergency ward on Wednesday, June 26, where several health professionals were physically assaulted, and sliding windows were damaged.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, the deceased, a 29-year-old miner, was involved in an accident near the Top Oil fuel station in Suhum in the Eastern Region while returning from Accra to Anyinam on the same day.<\/p>\n<p>He was rushed to Suhum Hospital for treatment but unfortunately passed away.<\/p>\n<p>Following his death, the family accused the hospital staff of negligence and failing to transfer him to the Eastern Regional Hospital for more advanced treatment.<\/p>\n<p>They informed some friends of the deceased, who later stormed the hospital and physically assaulted the nurses on duty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALSO
