{"id":192926,"date":"2024-06-25T05:31:21","date_gmt":"2024-06-25T05:31:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/06\/25\/ambulance-case-testify-under-oath-if-you-have-nothing-to-hide\/"},"modified":"2024-06-25T05:31:21","modified_gmt":"2024-06-25T05:31:21","slug":"ambulance-case-testify-under-oath-if-you-have-nothing-to-hide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/06\/25\/ambulance-case-testify-under-oath-if-you-have-nothing-to-hide\/","title":{"rendered":"Ambulance case: Testify under oath if you have nothing to hide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The head of legal affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Edudzie Tamakloe, has challenged the Attorney-General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, to take the witness stand in the ongoing ambulance trial. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This call comes in response to comments made by the Attorney-General, who urged Ghanaians to dismiss the NDC\u2019s arguments regarding the case, including an audio conversation between himself and the third accused person, Richard Jakpa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Addressing a town hall meeting with some Ghanaian residents in the United Kingdom (UK), Mr Dame stated that the NDC\u2019s allegations had collapsed when the cross-examination of Jakpa commenced.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In an interview with <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, Edudzie Tamakloe stated that if the Attorney-General has nothing to hide, he should testify under oath.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the Attorney General was doing what is right, why was he worried as to whether anybody was recording him or not? This bravery from a safe distance should be dismissed with alacrity. You leave Ghana, you go to London and start making noise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he is a man, nothing precludes him from taking the witness stand. That I am a man, I am Godfred Yeboah Dame, the leader of the Bar and the Attorney General of the Republic and I am taking the witness stand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have not disputed that there was a meeting between your good self, Richard Jakpa and the respected Justice of the Supreme Court. You have not denied it.
