We were told that for every yes vote, we would receive Kes. 2 million,\u201d<\/em> he said.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-315843\" alt=\"\" width=\"881\" height=\"620\"  data-lazy- src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/juja.jpg\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-315843\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/juja.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"881\" height=\"620\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Koimburi statied that he could not in good conscience support a bill he believes will harm the public.<\/p>\n<p>The MP also condemned police brutality during the anti-Finance Bill protests in Nairobi. He accused law enforcement of heavy-handed tactics, which have resulted in injuries and two reported deaths.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Koimburi issued a stark warning about the possible consequences of the Finance Bill being passed and signed into law by the president.<\/p>\n<p>He cautioned that as youth become increasingly disenfranchised and frustrated by the economic hardships imposed by such legislation, they might resort to drastic measures, including widespread unrest.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf this bill passes, the youth may burn the country,\u201d<\/em> he warned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Juja MP George Koimburi claimed on Sunday that legislators were offered Kes.2 million to vote yes on the Finance Bill, which advanced to the second reading on Thursday.
