pulsating weekend of action.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heavyweight rivals Manchester United and Liverpool went toe to toe at Old Trafford, with the shares spoiled in a four-goal thriller, while there were goals galore for title chasers Manchester City and Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>At the other end of the table, Everton and Luton picked up huge wins in their battle to avoid the drop, and their were positive results for Newcastle United and West Ham United against Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.<\/p>\n<p>So who were the best players on show?\u00a0<em>90min\u00a0<\/em>ranks the seven standout performers\u2026<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"_9pqrlscws\">7.\u00a0Carlton Morris<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/01htykbj0t4etnm0vcjt.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Carlton Morris claps Luton's fans in the City looming, relegation-threatened Luton Town knew they needed a positive result against Bournemouth at Kenilworth Road.<\/p>\n<p>Things weren\u2019t looking good with 20 minutes to go as the visitors led through Marcus Tavernier, but Jordan Clark\u2019s equaliser provided the platform for Carlton Morris to bag a dramatic last minute winner \u2013 his ninth goal of the Premier League season \u2013 and seal a huge three points.<\/p>\n<p>Morris was overcome with emotion at the final whistle but will be fully focused on what\u2019s to come in the closing weeks of the season.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"_v5dx62vtm\">6.\u00a0Ollie Watkins<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img hit at home to Brentford, but there was no stopping the Ollie Watkins goal train in the Midlands.<\/p>\n<p>After missing the 4-1 midweek mauling at Manchester City, the former Bees striker returned to the starting lineup to bag his 17th and 18th\u00a0Premier League\u00a0goals of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Only Erling Haaland (19) has more, with England\u2019s Euro 2024 hopeful a serious contender to win this season\u2019s Golden Boot.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"_avahxdh01\">5.\u00a0Bruno Fernandes<\/h2>\n<figure to register a shot in the first half of their\u00a02-2 draw against Liverpool\u00a0\u2013 the latest turgid display from Erik ten Hag\u2019s beleaguered Red Devils.<\/p>\n<p>But the momentum shifted dramatically in the second half at Old Trafford, fuelled by Bruno Fernandes\u2019 stunning long-range effort that punished Jarell Quansah\u2019s dreadfully sloppy pass.<\/p>\n<p>The Portuguese\u2019s moment of quality allowed United to gain the upper hand, and was key to their fierce rivals dropping valuable points in their bid to win a second Premier League crown.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"_hgmj7gvei\">4.\u00a0Luis Diaz<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" for Jurgen Klopp, but it was teammate Luis Diaz who was the standout player of the game.<\/p>\n<p>The Colombian was a livewire throughout, with his performance capped by a smart first half finish that saw him turn home Darwin Nunez\u2019s flicked header from close range.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"_2sjn896uq\">3.\u00a0Kai performance\u00a0against Brighton.<\/p>\n<p>The German\u2019s movement for his ninth Premier League strike of the season was superb, outthinking Jan Paul van Hecke before slotting home from close range, and his weight of pass for Leandro Trossard\u2019s breakaway third was inch perfect.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" all.<\/p>\n<p>His astonishing recovery pace was on show throughout the 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest, while he also demonstrated he has a cannon of a shot when rifling Spurs ahead midway through the Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, seriously go and watch it.<\/p>\n<p>The Belgian brilliantly bent the ball over Dean Henderson from an acute angle to cancel out Jean-Philippe Mateta\u2019s third-minute goal before sliding in Jack Grealish to set up Erling Haaland to score from close range.<\/p>\n<p>De Bruyne then sealed the deal with a fizzing first-time effort with his left foot, which
