Arsenal have announced Takehiro Tomiyasu has signed a new long-term contract.

The Japan international has proven important to the Gunners since signing from Bologna in 2021, filling in all across the backline and impressing with his versatility.

His previous deal was due to expire in 2025 though the club retained the option for a further year. Nevertheless, Arsenal have moved to tie Tomiyasu down to a new and improved contract, which is believed to run until 2026 with another option for one more year.
