The larger country almost surrounds it, but also shares a border with Mozambique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Held annually, the festival celebrates the harvest of the Marula fruit, a major event in the kingdom\u2019s national calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1027876 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mpala.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">King Mswati III led the ceremony in Hlane, joined by the Queen Mother and Madam Botchwey. The visiting dignitary donned the traditional \u201cLihiya\u201d attire, its orange colour reflecting the celebratory spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond the festival, King Mswati also met with Madam Botchwey privately for discussions and hosted a banquet in her honour at the Hlane palace. She additionally delivered a message on behalf of Ghana\u2019s President.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1027881 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Foreign-minister-.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"607\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The festivities weren\u2019t just for observers. Madam Botchwey and Eswatini\u2019s Foreign Minister, Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu, joined the celebratory \u201cLushango\u201d dance under the festival\u2019s bright lights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The star of the festival, however, is the Marula fruit.
