Two organizations; the Transport Operators Union and the Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana\u00a0have announced that there will be an increase in transportation fares.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on Monday, 4th March 2024, the two organizations have said that after a meeting, they have decided to increase transportation fares by 30 percent from March 7 forward. <\/p>\n
The two organizations claim the increment in transport fares was triggered by the high prices of fuel in the country. <\/p>\n
According to them, the high price of fuel has badly affected them, but efforts to reach out to the government to do something about it proved futile. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe fare adjustments are essential to ensure the financial viability of the transportation sector and to maintain the quality of service provided to the public.
