{"id":155959,"date":"2024-02-26T14:41:54","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T14:41:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/02\/26\/gcf-to-mark-ghana-culture-week\/"},"modified":"2024-02-26T14:41:54","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T14:41:54","slug":"gcf-to-mark-ghana-culture-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/02\/26\/gcf-to-mark-ghana-culture-week\/","title":{"rendered":"GCF To Mark Ghana Culture Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>GCF executives in a group photograph with GTA officials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Culture Forum (GCF) will hold a series of events, to mark this year\u2019s edition of the Ghana Culture Week, scheduled from March 12 to 17 on the theme \u201cCultivating Cultural Capital: Nurturing Ghana\u2019s Legacy for Africa\u2019s Renaissance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Culture Week seeks to celebrate our cultural heritage as well as discuss issues concerning our cultural development.<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception in 2012, the celebration has remained a flagship event of GCF; an advocacy platform consisting of the widest scope of cultural practitioners, activists and organisations.<\/p>\n<p>The leadership of the Ghana Culture Forum made this known at a meeting with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, the vice chairman of the GCF, gave an overview of the week\u2019s events, which included a film screening, symposium, and the introduction of the Africa Fashion Report in association with UNESCO.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that Chief Moomen, producer of \u2018Mansa Musa,\u2019 will deliver the keynote address at the symposium set for March 14.<\/p>\n<p>GTA\u2019s deputy CEO for General Services, Ben Anane-Nsiah, assured GCF of GTA\u2019s backing and acknowledged GCF\u2019s contribution to the development of the cultural sector, which is an essential part of tourism.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Alabi, Rev. Ken Fiati, and General Secretary Edwina Assan were among the GCF delegation.
