{"id":148098,"date":"2024-02-06T12:05:37","date_gmt":"2024-02-06T12:05:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/02\/06\/cbg-is-girsal-guaranteed-credit-partner\/"},"modified":"2024-02-06T12:05:37","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T12:05:37","slug":"cbg-is-girsal-guaranteed-credit-partner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/02\/06\/cbg-is-girsal-guaranteed-credit-partner\/","title":{"rendered":"CBG Is GIRSAL Guaranteed Credit Partner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Mr. Kwesi Korboe (L), Mr. Daniel Wilson Addo receiving the award from COO of GIRSAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG) has been recognised by the Ghana Incentive-based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending Project (GIRSAL), through its Partner Excellence Awards, with the Highest GIRSAL guaranteed Credit of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>The award presented by the CEO of GIRSAL, Kwesi Korboe, to the Managing Director of the CBG, Daniel Addo, was to affirm that the bank won the Partner Financial Institution award as a result of the significant input made into the agricultural sector credit in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Addo expressed appreciation to GIRSAL for the award saying, \u201cfor us in CBG this is a clear confirmation that we are doing something right. Our collaboration with GIRSAL has been very fruitful. We have very audacious goals that we intend to achieve together with GIRSAL, and this award will spur us to do more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated that CBG\u2019s commitment to the SME and Agric sectors was very significant, adding management had put together a plan to upscale activities in the sectors across the entire value chain of the bank.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cCBG is making an impact in agriculture, and I am glad to say that the collaboration with GIRSAL will deepen this impact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He indicated that the partnership has played a key role in enhancing CBG\u2019s capacity within the Agribusiness sector with a focus on technical areas and has created support for over 2500 jobs within the agribusiness value chain.
