{"id":145427,"date":"2024-01-30T15:58:34","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T15:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/30\/ndc-demands-removal-of-electoral-officer-over-alleged-partisanship\/"},"modified":"2024-01-30T15:58:34","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T15:58:34","slug":"ndc-demands-removal-of-electoral-officer-over-alleged-partisanship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/30\/ndc-demands-removal-of-electoral-officer-over-alleged-partisanship\/","title":{"rendered":"NDC demands removal of electoral officer over alleged partisanship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is demanding the removal of Isaac Darko, the Municipal Electoral Officer for Nandom, following his public declaration of allegiance to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the NPP Parliamentary primary in the Nandom Constituency.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac Darko admitted to his party affiliation over the weekend while overseeing the NPP primary in the Nandom Constituency, raising concerns about his impartiality in the electoral process.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Citi News\u2019 Elizabeth Ocansey, Osman Ayariga, the Deputy National Youth Organizer of the NDC, expressed the party\u2019s dissatisfaction and announced their intention to address the perceived bias within the electoral commission.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the electoral director to say, he is a member of the NPP and we all know that they are expected to be independent and neutral.
