{"id":145318,"date":"2024-01-30T12:44:27","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T12:44:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/30\/afrofit-holds-debut-health-walk\/"},"modified":"2024-01-30T12:44:27","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T12:44:27","slug":"afrofit-holds-debut-health-walk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/30\/afrofit-holds-debut-health-walk\/","title":{"rendered":"Afrofit Holds Debut Health Walk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em>Afrofit participants exercising<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Afrofit National on Saturday, January 27, embarked on its maiden health and wellbeing walk dubbed, \u2018Embracing the New Beginning\u2019s Edition\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the relevance of Health Walk, Executive Partner of Afrofit National, George Foster Baffour, indicated that the Afrofit Walk is a call on Ghanaians to cultivate the habit of\u00a0walking for at least 30 minutes a day and more, to improve and maintain overall health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the main reason why Afrofit was launched some months back last year, to create awareness for the public to understand the relevance of exercising for a healthy lifestyle,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>George Baffour also stated that the AfroFit Health Walk commences every quarter, adding, that these dynamic three-series health walk events emphasise physical exercise, unity, inclusivity, diversity, and healthy living.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Producer, Afrofit National, Johnson Kwame Otoo, indicated that Afrofit National has a series of activities engineered to inspire the fitness agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA competition and an awards event coming soon. This fitness is an awareness creation, Afrofit is coming to stay, and I am entreating individuals and organisations to join the fitness group,\u201d\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n<p>Representative of the Ghana Sports Authority, Christiana Ashley, said the authority partnered with the Afrofit National to encourage the habit of exercising for a healthy living.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExercising is\u00a0a great way to improve or maintain your overall health.
