{"id":143081,"date":"2024-01-25T00:24:49","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T00:24:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/25\/gunmen-kill-anambra-couple-dump-corpses-in-vehicle-boot\/"},"modified":"2024-01-25T00:24:49","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T00:24:49","slug":"gunmen-kill-anambra-couple-dump-corpses-in-vehicle-boot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/25\/gunmen-kill-anambra-couple-dump-corpses-in-vehicle-boot\/","title":{"rendered":"Gunmen Kill Anambra Couple, Dump Corpses In Vehicle Boot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have killed two persons, suspected to be husband and wife and dumped their corpses in a car boot of their vehicle, a Toyota Camry with the registration number: EE-621-EU.<\/p>\n<p>The two corpses were seen by passers-by at a lonely place along the Tempo Junction, Umunya axis of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway in the early hours of Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the vehicle doors were wide open while the two fresh corpses were dumped inside the boot.<\/p>\n<p>INFORMATION NIGERIA learnt that the blood dripping from beneath the vehicle boot showed the deceased may have been freshly murdered.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container margin-top margin-bottom \">\n<div class=\"ad-container-inner\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1705331421819-0\" class=\"\" data-google-query-id=\"CJTgifGn9oMDFZRYHQkd_oUJWg\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/31989200\/rvp-outstream-video-2_0__container__\/CJTgifGn9oMDFZRYHQkd_oUJWg\">\n<div id=\"v-punchng-v0-0\">\n<div id=\"_vdo_ads_player_ai_24278\" class=\"vdo_video_unit vdo_floating\">\n<p>When contacted on the development, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Ikenga added that the police personnel attached to the Oyi Division have recovered and deposited the two lifeless bodies in a mortuary, while investigations have commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding their deaths.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cPolice personnel attached to the Oyi Division led by the DPO at about 7:30 am today 24\/1\/2024, have recovered two lifeless bodies, abandoned in a car boot along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe operatives also recovered the abandoned vehicle and some expanded cartridges at the scene. Meanwhile, bodies have been deposited in the morgue and investigations have commenced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary information revealed that those persons, a man, and woman, with marks of violence and gunshot injuries all over their bodies, were murdered and abandoned in a black Corolla car with reg plate number Lagos AAA 621 EU.
