That was why, in the case of Kanu, I said the best was to subject him to the system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet him make his case in court instead of giving a terrible impression of the country from outside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel it is a favour to give him (Kanu) that opportunity. Government could have mobilised to eliminate him where he was, but we did not do that,\u201d Adesina quoted his principal as saying.<\/p>\n<p>According to Adesina, Buhari, in his response to the delegation, acknowledged the gravity of their request, stating, \u201cThe demand you have made is heavy, but I will consider it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, a First Republic Minister of Aviation, led the delegation, urging the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, he expressed the painful and pathetic situation in the East, seeking Buhari\u2019s intervention for a solution.<\/p>\n<p>He vowed that if Kanu were released to him, \u201che will no longer say the things he used to say.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div data-advadstrackid=\"890536\" data-advadstrackbid=\"1\" class=\"infor-target\" id=\"infor-487762324\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/300x250b.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nnamdi Kanu and Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari Femi Adesina, former Special Adviser to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, revealed that Buhari extended favour to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), by extraditing him to Nigeria.
