I owe this to the team that I play with them: Barcelona and the national team. Without my teammates I would not be here picking up these awards. I will always be thankful to those who have not failed me: my family and my friends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to congratulate all the nominees and say that I am proud of being part of a powerful generation of women who are changing the rules of the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bonmati previously picked up the Ballon d\u2019Or Feminin back in October, beating a host of England stars including Rachel Daly, Millie Bright, Mary Earps and Georgia Stanway, after winning Liga F and the Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>She was also an integral part of the Spain squad that lifted the World Cup in August against the odds after a dispute between players and management, being named the best player at the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Bonmati succeeds fellow Spaniard Alexia Putellas as the latest winner of the Best FIFA Women\u2019s Player.
