Chef Faila has come under the rage of most Ghanaians following comments she made in an interview. She has faced and is still facing a barrage of criticism on social media following comments she made during an interview with Joy Prime on the morning of Friday, January 12, 2024.

Despite the overwhelming support she received from many Ghanaians during her remarkable 227-hour cookathon at the Modern City Hotel, it appears that she unintentionally offended some individuals. In her conversation with Joy Prime, Chef Faila expressed her disappointment over the absence of popular Ghanaian musicians like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Samini at her Cook-A-Thon Guinness World Record attempt in Tamale.

She had anticipated Shatta Wale’s presence to demonstrate his support, especially considering his previous mention on Facebook that he would visit Chef Faila, just as he did for Afua Asantewaa Aduonum during her singathon.

She said: “If it was something bad about the North, everyone would have been talking about it. Not a single big musician showed up for North on this project. Not Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, etc.”

“It was Kwabena Kwabena who passed through. There were a lot of expectations that we were going to see some of the artistes we support so much from this angle show up and support us. Believe me, if I see Stonebwoy or Shatta Wale’s song, I can sing it to amaze you, but nobody showed up for us, and so they owe us an apology.”

Netizens React

@Wei Ye Oteng: “Self entitlement will kill de energy we supported u with. Dont for get that was the same time most musicians were resting after the festive season, kwabena kwabena happens to have an event in North so that made it easy for him. Appreciate and look at the big picture.”

@Dora Sule BornBlessed: “Jah Bless Faila, Too early for this. You were actually joking about what u were saying but unfortunately, Ghanaians have misunderstood u n bashing u. if u ask me i feel this wasn’t necessary at all n not good for ur brand. Whether they came or not, Ghanaians showed u massive support n we are proud of u. Queen_teiya, i personal think after u supporting her thru out, she also need ur coaching on how to handle fame here in Gh.”

@Victor Kwegir: “Please do not get into these things. You have achieved something significant, enjoy the ride, and make the most of it. We all supported you. Your complaints will only begin to alienate some people and turn the support into something unpleasant. Don’t do that.”

@Chelsea Sparklyn: “Fancy Gadam is an up and coming artiste abi?? After all his effort….. ah well. …… over to ghs.”

@Melissa Pearl: “Tcheew.. What is she trying to tell those that traveled all the way to Tamale, leaving their busy schedules behind to support her? Demma mordas er..?”
