{"id":138555,"date":"2024-01-13T00:31:07","date_gmt":"2024-01-13T00:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/13\/tinubu-suspends-n-power-three-other-nsipa-programmes\/"},"modified":"2024-01-13T00:31:07","modified_gmt":"2024-01-13T00:31:07","slug":"tinubu-suspends-n-power-three-other-nsipa-programmes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2024\/01\/13\/tinubu-suspends-n-power-three-other-nsipa-programmes\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu Suspends N-Power, Three Other NSIPA Programmes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Federal Government has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s led administration has suspended all administered programmes by the National Social Investment Programme Agency, including N-Power.<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the suspension in a statement on Friday, the Director of Information, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Segun Imohiosen, said that the president\u2019s decision was in view of the ongoing investigation of alleged misconduct in the management of the agency and its programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The statement reads: \u201cAll four (4) programmes administered by NSIPA, the N-Power Programme, the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, and the Home Grown School Feeding Programme (the \u201cProgrammes\u201d), have been suspended for a period of six weeks in the first instance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0FG Suspends N-Power Program Indefinitely<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also raised significant concerns regarding operational lapses and improprieties surrounding payments to the programmes\u2019 beneficiaries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the period of this suspension, all NSIPA-related activities, including but not limited to all distributions, events, payments, collaborations and registrations are now frozen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President wishes to assure the stakeholders and all Nigerians that his administration remains committed to a swift and unbiased process that will ensure that, going forward, social intervention programmes will work exactly as intended, to the benefit of the most vulnerable Nigerians.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-7\" style=\"margin: 8px auto; text-align: center; display: block; clear: both;\">\n<div data-advadstrackid=\"890536\" data-advadstrackbid=\"1\" class=\"infor-target\" id=\"infor-1559339218\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/300x250b.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"\/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Government has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s led administration has suspended all administered programmes by the National Social Investment Programme Agency, including N-Power.
