The fatalities included eight adults and seven children, comprising five girls and two boys.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>RELATED \u2013 NTSA Identifies Cause of Nakuru-Eldoret Road Accident<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The crash left seven other passengers with serious injuries, and an additional 38 individuals were treated for minor injuries.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-305558\" alt=\"\" width=\"879\" height=\"437\"  data-lazy- src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/clem.jpg\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-305558\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/clem.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"879\" height=\"437\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>According to the State, the ill-fated bus had foreign registration numbers under a Ugandan company.<\/p>\n<p>The injured 34-year-old driver denied the charges, with the Prosection asking the court for strict bond conditions given the suspect fled and went into hiding immediately after the gruesome Nakuru-Eldoret Highway accident.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Daisy Mosse granted the accused release on a Sh1 million bond and two sureties of a similar amount.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe accused needs to be taken for treatment, I can see he is visibly injured,<\/em>\u201d the magistrate added.<\/p>\n<p>The case is scheduled to be heard on January 29, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, Clement Kiarie, the driver of the ill-fated bus involved in Tuesday\u2019s Twin Bridge area accident, faced charges before Molo Principal Magistrate Daisy Mosse.
