Residents of the Kwesimintsim Constituency in the Western Region have resolved to continue to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah to retain the seat in this year\u2019s general elections to enable him continue his transformation agenda for the constituency.<\/p>\n
They said they would forever be grateful to the MP for his various efforts towards improving the living conditions of the constituents.<\/p>\n
\u201cDr. Prince Hamid Armah is the type of MP we want. He deserves another term having served his constituents very well,\u201d they pointed.<\/p>\n
During the MP\u2019s 2024 campaign launch at Kwesimintsim on Monday, the residents testified about the good works of their MP within the three years he has been in Parliament, one after the other.<\/p>\n
They said as a first time MP, Dr. Armah has performed remarkably in the areas of employment and education, giving scholarships to students to further their education at the tertiary levels, both in Ghana and abroad.<\/p>\n
The Chief of Kwesimintsim, Nana Egodzi Esson III, explained that even though chiefs do not do active politics, he wished the MP would be voted for to represent the people again in the august house to continue with his good works.<\/p>\n
Addressing the people, Dr. Armah noted that he believed that in the last three years, he has done exceedingly well to warrant a second term.<\/p>\n
He explained that the purpose of the campaign launch was to account for his stewardship, and the need for the people to give him another term to serve them.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is why those present here are not only polling station or constituency executives, but the entire community I need to rally behind me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He told the gathering that within the three years that he has been in Parliament, he has built seven schools across the communities within the constituency, \u201cSo I have made a strong case to be given a second term to be able to move the constituency forward,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He indicated that his focus now would be to develop some infrastructure in the second cycle institutions within the constituency since the Municipal Director of Education has told him that the basic schools had so far benefited a lot from him.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that aside education and training, other pillars he is focused on include entrepreneurship and job creation, improvement of social services and infrastructure, as well as governance and leadership.<\/p>\n
He said he has always done a clean campaign adding, \u201cIf you want the people\u2019s mandate you have to let them know what you have done, and will do for them when given the nod.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cPolitics of insult is not acceptable anywhere and I vehemently oppose any attempt by any individual in my team to rain insult on other persons,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
