Hammond, 14 others petition to disqualify Sammy Darkwa \u2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, K.T Hammond, along with 14 other NPP executives in the constituency, has filed a petition seeking the disqualification of an aspirant in the parliamentary primary, Sammy Binfoh Darkwa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the petition sighted by\u00a0<strong>JoyNews<\/strong>, Sammy Binfoh Darkwa, Deputy Managing Director at the Ghana Publishing Company, is accused of not belonging to the NPP and contributing less to the constituency\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-01-03-at-15.12.19.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032439613\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sammy Binfoh Darkwa, Deputy Managing Director at the Ghana Publishing Company<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He is also accused of taking away pick-ups donated to the constituency after losing the 2018 parliamentary primaries to the incumbent MP, K.T Hammond.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-01-03-at-15.12.191.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032439612\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>The petition states that Mr. Binfoh does not qualify to contest the Adansi Asokwa seat on the ticket of the NPP, as enshrined in Article 12(4) and (7) of the Party\u2019s Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>However, Mr. Sammy Binfoh Darkwa, who is seeking to unseat the incumbent, believes he is on the best path to victory.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-01-03-at-15.12.181-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032439616\"\/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-01-03-at-15.12.18-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10032439618\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking to JoyNews, Sammy Binfoh Darkwa expressed confidence in his chances for victory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am looking forward to unseating the incumbent MP who was fortunate during the last primaries.
