Supreme Court Proceedings: Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo Has Been Excellent On His Feet – Oliver Baker

Oliver Baker-Vormawor, a Lawyer and Human rights Activist has praised NDC’s Lawyer Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo for his excellent submissions at the supreme court.
Oliver Baker made this comment in a post he shared on December 27, 2024. He wrote;
“I am listening to the Supreme Court proceedings and I must say that Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo has been excellent on his feet.
While we may not share the same reasoning on the substance of the EC’s power to recollate, I am completely agreed with him that the High Court judge took some many suspicious steps that it is hard to not feel that he was animated by biais.
This is what I sometimes don’t understand with some of our judges. We all know you want to tilt to “our side”. But when you are tilting too, you won’t do it subtly. So subtly that a person will be confused if your natural disposition is to so tilt.”
” They do it so blatantly; suspending all the normal operations of practice and procedure, such that at the end of the day, the biais becomes palpable and thick in the air.” Oliver added.
“A great deal of artificial gymnastics was applied to avoid giving the NDC a hearing. Why? If you know you will rule against them, why also deny a hearing? It’s really hard to defend this, to be honest! Sometimes you can do the right thing wrongly. This was such a case. Certiorari must lie!.”
