The Agona West branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expelled 280 members, including incumbent MP Cynthia Mamle Morrison, from the party. This decision follows the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.
In a letter addressed to the party’s National and Regional leadership, Constituency Chairman Alhaji Gibrine Tanko stated that the expulsion was in accordance with Article 3(9)(1) of the NPP’s Constitution (2017).
