The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has called on the upcoming National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) government to increase the feeding allowance given to school caterers, criticizing the current GH¢1 per child as insufficient to meet the nutritional needs of students.GNAT’s General Secretary, Thomas Musah, expressed concern that the meager allocation is hindering the success of the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) initiative.
