Speaking during a panel discussion on GTV on December 19, 2024, she emphasized that corruption, bribery, embezzlement, and other social vices are major obstacles hindering Ghana’s progress.
Afenyi-Dadzie highlighted that these issues must be addressed before the nation can achieve sustainable development. She referred to a verse from the Bible, 2 Chronicles 7:14, which calls for humility, prayer, and turning away from wicked ways for healing and progress.
“If the land will progress, if the land will have development, then we have to do away with certain vices,” she said, stressing the importance of confronting corruption, misappropriation, and illegal mining.
According to Afenyi-Dadzie, addressing these challenges requires a collective effort from all Ghanaians.
“Until we make a conscious effort to uphold virtues and become good citizens, this nation will not go forward,” she added. She believes that a change in attitude is necessary to pave the way for true development.
Afenyi-Dadzie pointed out that her organization has held several events over the past year that sought to address these critical issues.
For Afenyi-Dadzie, the solution lies in the hearts and actions of Ghanaians, urging everyone to adopt a new mindset that supports national progress.
