Rev. Kusi Boateng Faces Arrest Over Alleged Election Rigging and Crimes

According to reports from GhanaWeb, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to revisit the allegations against Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng regarding his role as secretary of the board of trustees for the National Cathedral Secretariat.

Mustapha Gbande, the party’s Deputy General Secretary, stated that Prophet Kusi Boateng has been involved in several illegal activities, including an alleged scheme to assist the New Patriotic Party in rigging the upcoming 2024 elections.

On November 24, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) cleared Prophet Kusi Boateng of accusations related to using multiple identities to obtain different passports.

The commission also found no evidence of financial misconduct regarding a payment of GH¢2.6 million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a company linked to him.

During an interview on Ultimate FM’s Cup of Tea with host Julius Caesar Anadem, Gbande remarked on the situation, suggesting that they possess significant information about the clergyman that has not yet been made public, including his involvement in the elections.

He claimed that Rev. Kusi played a crucial and illegal role in the electoral process and criticized him for allegedly colluding with the New Patriotic Party to exploit national resources.

Gbande further asserted that instead of serving God, Rev. Kusi has engaged in activities that have harmed the country, stating that he has benefited from financial mismanagement tied to the National Cathedral project.

He expressed disappointment over the clergyman’s apparent departure from his previous moral standing, questioning how he could have compromised his principles.
