I Donated 20 Corn Mills, Pick-up Vehicles and 200 Cedis To Electorates In The NR But… Ken Agyapong

The member of parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Hon Kennedy Agyapong has expressed disappointment over what he describes as a lack of recognition for his contributions to the success of the New Patriotic Party in the Northern region during the recent elections.

Kennedy Agyapong revealed that he personally campaigned for 17 candidates across the Northern Region, with 16 of them emerging victorious. He highlighted that his efforts significantly increased the party’s vote margins in many constituencies, citing an instance where votes surged from 4000 to 17,000 as a result of his involvement .

“Imagine i did not campaign, how much would we have gotten? Wherever I entered to campaign, we won” he said, adding that his strategic efforts and generosity played a key role in the party’s gain.

Kennedy Agyapong detailed his contributions, which included donation of 20 corn mill machines to support Farouk Mahama, providing a brand new pickup vehicle to the chief of Mion, and distributing 200 cedis each to women who attended a campaign rally for Mion candidate. He also revealed building a school for the community as part of his efforts to bolster party support.

In Tolon, Kennedy Agyapong said he provided pickups to aid the local MPs campaign. Despite these contributions, he lamented that credit for the NPP’s success in the Northern region has been shifted away from his efforts, with others taking the credit.

“Nobody in the North gives me credit for the work I did for the party there. They associate their success in the north to only one candidate” he fumed, vowing never to repeat such efforts in future elections.

He said he regrets not focusing on his own constituency, suggesting that his sacrifices for other areas were unappreciated.
