In a fiery interview on Radio XYZ, Kumawood actor Clement Bonney, better known as Mr. Beautiful, has taken aim at his colleague Agya Koo, accusing him of spreading falsehoods about former president John Dramani Mahama. The accusations in question claimed that Mahama sold the Tema Harbour were part of the rhetoric used during the 2024 election campaign to tarnish Mahama’s image, according to Mr. Beautiful.
Mr. Beautiful expressed outrage over Agya Koo’s claims, denouncing them as deliberate lies aimed at undermining Mahama’s legacy. In particular, he was furious over Agya Koo’s assertion that the high cost of duty was a direct result of Mahama’s alleged sale of the Tema Harbour, describing such a statement as baseless and nonsensical. “A villager like you, how could you say such a thing about President Mahama?” he questioned, mocking Agya Koo’s knowledge of political matters.
What seemed to upset Mr. Beautiful most was his belief that Agya Koo was being ungrateful to Mahama, who had once supported the actor financially, providing money and even paying for his plane tickets. After aligning himself with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), however, Agya Koo reportedly became one of Mahama’s vocal detractors, prompting Mr. Beautiful’s vehement disapproval.
“You are one of the most ungrateful people I’ve ever encountered. Mahama was giving you money and buying you plane tickets, but after aligning with the NPP, you wanted to discredit the man,” Mr. Beautiful continued, adding that Agya Koo’s actions had irreparably soured their relationship. “I will never meet Agya Koo or greet him, let alone shake his hand. I will not do that foolish thing because he lied about John Mahama.”
The actor’s outburst came in response to Mahama’s decisive victory in the 2024 elections, which he believes has left Mahama’s critics embarrassed and exposed. He made it clear that, due to Agya Koo’s betrayal, he now considers him an enemy, vowing to never engage with the actor again.
