“NPP Focused on Electoral Manipulation, While NDC Prioritized Victory” – Joshua Alabi

Joshua Alabi, the Campaign Manager for John Dramani Mahama, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of focusing on electoral manipulation instead of presenting tangible policies and programs during the December 7 general elections as reported by Citinewsroom on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

In an interview with TV3 Ghana, Alabi argued that the NPP was more concerned with how to influence the election results unfairly, rather than engaging voters with substantial campaign promises.

“The NPP was working on how to cheat, while we were focused on victory,” Alabi stated.

Alabi credited the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with making significant strides in connecting with voters on the ground, pointing out that the party’s grassroots engagement played a key role in its campaign.

He claimed that the NDC’s efforts to address the concerns of the electorate resonated deeply, making the party’s message clear and visible across the nation.

“Your performance will give you the mark that you require,” Alabi noted, referring to the party’s belief that a strong performance and clear campaign messaging would secure victory.

He further stressed that the NDC’s strategy, based on direct voter engagement, strengthened its relationship with the electorate, unlike the NPP’s alleged focus on unfair tactics.

Throughout the campaign, the NDC received numerous calls from voters who expressed their support but voiced concerns about the security of the ballots.

Alabi assured these voters that the party was committed to protecting the integrity of the election.
