Angry Youth Do The Unthinkable To Queen Mother For Her Alleged Role In Recent Kwahu Violence

Few days ago, viral videos of mayhem in Kwahu hit online which indicated violence caused by chieftaincy related issues. In the video, land guards were seen all over the town torturing some indigenes who according to reports are followers of the paramount chief of Kwahu-Adonten. The paramount chief was kidnapped and tortured as well as a means to dethrone him. The youth in the town stood up to rebel against the land guards to save their chief and town. The police service also was seen shortly at the scene after matter escalated and got out hands.
In a new video that has surfaced online and was shared by Ameyaw Debrah, one of Ghana’s top journalists is an explanation of the reasons behind the recent happenings in Kwahu. The kidnapping of the chief and torturing of indigenes in the town was an order from the Queen mother of the town which was not known to anybody. In the video shared, the chief was seen seated on the floor and asking questions asked by the queen. He was subjected to harsh treatments as he attempted to answer the questions.
Following this revelation that the queen mother was behind the tensions caused in the town, the indigenes decide to punish her for actions. Per reports gathered from Ameyaw Debrah’s post indicates that she was completely undressed and asked to walk through the town by the angry youth as her punishment per orders given by their culture. This was a return of the treatment subjected to their chief when he was kidnapped by her land guards. The police came to restore calm when matters escalated.
