Three Daring Notorious Gangsters Lynched By Mob And Their Vehicle Set A Blaze On Ashaiman Road

According to the video posted on twitter today by Adomonline, a violent confrontation unfolded on Ashaiman Road on Friday as three suspected gangsters met a tragic end at the hands of an angry mob.

Witnesses say the three individuals, who had been terrorizing motorists in the area, were cornered by an outraged crowd after allegedly attempting to rob passing drivers.

According to reports, the gangsters—later identified as Kofi Mensah, 38, Kwame Asare, 42, and Yaw Boadi, 40—were armed and had been involved in several robbery attempts along the busy Ashaiman Road.

One local resident, Ama Adjei, who saw the scene, stated, “They were harassing and threatening people, demanding money and valuables. We couldn’t take it anymore. We had to stop them.”

The three men were reportedly in a dark vehicle, which they used as an escape car after attempting to intimidate two motorists. However, residents, alerted by the commotion, quickly blocked their path, trapping them.

The confrontation escalated, with the mob overpowering the suspects. In the chaos that followed, the crowd stoned the suspects, resulting in their deaths at the scene.

Ashaiman Police Commander Inspector Daniel Owusu confirmed the incident, stating, “The mob acted in anger after the gangsters threatened the lives of innocent motorists. When we arrived, the suspects were already down, and their vehicle was set ablaze by the crowd.”

Following the assault, the mob turned their fury on the suspects’ car, smashing windows and setting it on fire.

The vehicle was entirely burned, leaving behind a scorched shell as evidence of the mob’s intense anger.

Inspector Owusu added, “Upon searching the vehicle, we recovered two locally made pistols and a knife, believed to have been used in their robbery attempts. We urge the public to avoid taking matters into their own hands. Mob justice can be dangerous and is not encouraged by the police.”

Many local residents expressed a mix of relief and caution, with some saying that the gangsters had been troubling the area for weeks.

“We were scared every time we used this road,” said Kwaku Boakye, a driver who frequently travels on Ashaiman Road. “But it’s also sad that it had to end this way. People are frustrated.”

The police have taken the bodies of the suspects to the morgue for further investigation. Inspector Owusu noted that an official inquiry into the incident is ongoing to understand the full extent of the gang’s activities.

He also urged residents to work with law enforcement to address security concerns in the area rather than resorting to mob actions.
