The National House of Chiefs has announced that it has banned illegal mining, also known as galamsey, with immediate effect within the jurisdictions of it members.
This is contained in a press release dated November 1 and signed by the Registrar, Anthony Yeboah Tabiri.
” The National House of Chiefs has condemned illegal mining with its environmental and health hazards.
