Ghanaians React Heavily As NDC’s Sam George Sends Daring Message To Chief Justice And Supreme Court

The parliament of Ghana has been brought to a halt regarding its usual sittings. This decision taken by the speaker was as a result of unresolved parliamentary affairs between the NPP and NDC caucus in the house. A ruling from the court which orders the speaker to overturn his decision after declaring some NPP caucus seats vacant was the genesis of the current issue.
The speaker of parliament has solely reiterated his stance on not agreeing to the court’s ruling which has now become a legal case. Yesterday, legal representative of the speaker was seen in court and made very brilliant submissions. The Chief Justice however has rejected the application submitted by the speaker to set aside its initial ruling. She registered her displeasure and worries on the suspension of parliamentary activities which she deemed to be unconstitutional.
In a post sighted on the official twitter page of Hon. Sam George, an NDC MP following the recent Supreme Court sitting has caused massive stirs in social media. He reiterated his bold stance with the speaker of parliament in the fight of making parliament a sole democratic body on its own free of external influence. “If you think you have power, come and open Parliament and please your paymasters”, he boldly shared on his page.
