Bawumia Owes Me- Kwame Yogot Reveals

Ghanaian musician, Kwame Yogot has said that vice president and NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia owes him some amount of money.

Speaking with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Property FM which was monitored by Ghbase.com, Kwame Yogot claims the vice president used his popular song, “Bibi Besi” as a campaign song in the Assin North by-election which took place last year.

According to the musician, the song was used without his consent, and ever since that day, he has waited for the New Patriotic Party to approach him but nothing has been done so far.

“Oh naa I’ve not gotten anything from Dr. Bawumia after he used my song Biibi Besi to campaign during the Assin North by-election held last year”.

The musician has said that there are many NPP bigwigs in his former record label so he does not know if things have happened behind the scenes, however, to the best of his knowledge nothing has been given to him and his current record label.

“My former record label all the people there are big men within the NPP so I don’t know what they are doing if they’ve gone to take money behind my back,” he added.

According to him, the CEO of his former record label reached out to him that the NPP wanted to have a deal with them but he told them he was not interested in politics.

“Just recently I had a conversation with the CEO of my former record label and he told me that they’ve brought a certain offer but since then I’ve not heard from anyone again”, he said.

Adding that “I didn’t even want them to use my song to campaign in the first place and so when he told me I said as for me I’m not interested in those things. But since then I’ve not been updated as to what is happening”.
