Popualar Ghanaian-made dance crew DWP (Dance With Purpose) is experiencing a shake-up as reports currently online allege that Afronita, a key member of the crew, has left to pursue a solo career.
Known for their energetic dance performances and collaborations with various artists, DWP has become a prominent force in the entertainment industry.
Afronita, who has been an integral member of the crew since its inception a few years ago, has recently made changes to her official Instagram handle, removing the DWP affiliation from her profile.
This move has fueled speculation about her departure from the dance collective.
Rumors about Afronita’s departure began circulating several months ago, suggesting that she perceived herself as too significant within the crew and was unwilling to heed the instructions of the dance crew’s manager.
The alleged discord gained attention when MOG Beatz, a Ghanaian music producer, engaged in an online spat with DWP manager Quables over the crew’s failure to fulfil a dance video contract.
The latest development, with Afronita reportedly focusing on her solo career, adds a new layer to the ongoing narrative surrounding the dance crew.
The departure of a key member raises questions about the future direction of DWP and its ability to maintain its dynamic and cohesive performances without Afronita’s presence.

Dancegod Lloyd confirms exit from DWP Academy
Popular dancer Laud Anoo Konadu well known as Dancegod Lloyd has confirmed rumors of his exit from the ‘DWP’ Academy.
It was earlier rumored that the co-founder of the Dance with a Purpose (DWP) Academy Dancegod was having issues with the other members of the group.
According to reports, Dancegod had a misunderstanding with one of the managers of the group, Quables. Many people started suspecting that Dancegod was no more part of the dance group when he was absent on stage while his other members performed at the Global Citizen Concert.
During the back and forth, Nicholas Botchway known well as Afrobeast, one of the founders of the Academy tried to calm waters by explaining the absence of Dancegod during an interview on Hitz FM.
He said, “Dancegod Lloyd happened to be in Nigeria during the rehearsals. He missed 90% of the entire rehearsal sessions and even though he was through with his project before the final rehearsal kicked off, he couldn’t join the crew to perform because the list of dancers had already been submitted to the Global Citizen Festival event organizers.”
The thing is, they wanted a certain amount of number and Dancegod Lloyd wasn’t available at the time,” Afrobeast earlier said in an interview with Hitz FM.
However, in a new development, Dancegod in a Tiktok live has dispelled the narrative confirming that he has left the music group.
