Accra, Dec 31, GNA – The Electoral Commission (EC) has declared Faustina Elikplim Akurugu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the Member of Parliament-elect for Dome-Kwabenya.
The announcement came after the EC said it had confirmed results from the Abokobi Women’s Training Centre, which were initially unaccounted for.
With the inclusion of these results, the collation of the Dome-Kwabenya parliamentary election results is now complete.
The EC also announced it would not proceed with the planned rerun of the parliamentary election at the Abokobi Women’s Training Centre polling station. This marks a reversal of its earlier decision communicated on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
