A leading youth activist of the New Patriotic Party, Atiku Yakubu has launched a sharp critique of party supporters who are blaming NPP Loyal Ladies for their 2024 elections defeat.
As the New Patriotic Party undergo postmortem to unravel the cause of their poor performance in the 2024 elections, social media has been rife with opinions pointing fingers to the Loyal Ladies as the cause of their defeat.
In his reply, Atiku Yakubu stated that Loyal ladies is not a wing in the party per the constitution of NPP but a volunteer group so there’s no way one can blame them for electoral defeat . They have no budget allocated to them , they are not obligated by constitution but they work out of their own will . In other words , they do not owe anyone accountability.
Mentioning some of the contributions of Loyal Ladies to the 2024 campaign, Atiku said they were the group that started mass placards campaign, sticker campaign and street campaign in the Youth wing .
According to Atiku Yakubu, sleeping with eachother happens every where including the churches, work places, family houses. He said it doesn’t matter where it happens, so far and men and women are involved. He advised that the Loyal Ladies are more needed now going into opposition than ever .
“For the accusations leveled against them , what you are accusing them of is happening in your churches, your work places, your family house . Anywhere there is a penis and a vagina , expect a penetration. It doesn’t matter even if it’s a church group, it will happen! If you can’t encourage them , please don’t destroy them . We all have examples of the vices you level against them in our families” Atiku said.
