The NADMO boss, speaking in an exclusive interview, expressed strong support for Kennedy Agyapong, describing him as the party’s “Messiah” for the next elections. He emphasized that Agyapong’s unwavering dedication and contributions to the NPP over the years make him the best choice to lead the party to victory in 2028.
“What I’m saying is that you need to work hard as an NPP member in order to lead this party. Kennedy Agyapong joined this party in 1992 and has really worked hard for the NPP,” he remarked. “Some people make arguments that this is because he has been getting contracts from the party, but I know some NPP members who use the money they get from NPP contracts to buy houses abroad. But Kennedy Agyapong helps the needy people in the party.”
The comments reflect a growing divide within the party, with some factions favoring Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s 2024 flagbearer, for another run, while others believe Kennedy Agyapong is the only one capable of leading the NPP to victory.
The NADMO boss cautioned the party’s leadership to ensure a fair and transparent process in selecting the next flagbearer, warning of dire consequences if Agyapong is sidelined. “If they try to cheat Kennedy Agyapong again in 2028, it will not go down well with them at all. A cheat on Kennedy Agyapong is a cheat on all poor people in the NPP party,” he stated passionately.
