He accused the Attorney General of previously using his office to intimidate political adversaries. Cudjoe said, “This man who turned the Attorney-General’s office into a Gestapo wing for harassing political opponents is today preaching peace.”
The comments came after Dame appeared on Joy FM, where he urged Ghanaians to resolve election-related conflicts through lawful means.
He emphasized the importance of unity, saying, “What binds us as a people is greater than the few things that divide us.”
Dame also stressed that Ghana’s democracy is a valuable achievement, pointing out that “Democracy is a gift that many nations are still struggling to achieve.”
While Dame’s message of peace was intended to calm post-election tensions, Cudjoe’s response highlighted the stark contrast between his current peace advocacy and his previous actions.
