Woman Dies In US Months After Relocating; Family Appeal For Help to Repatriate Her Body

According to the report by GHOne TV, the tagic story of Akosua Ama has left her family and friends in deep sorrow.

Akosua, a young Ghanaian woman, relocated to the United States a few months ago with hopes of building a brighter future.

Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly, leaving her loved ones in shock and despair.

“We never imagined this would happen,” said her elder brother, Kwame Nkrumah. “Akosua was full of life and had so many dreams. She was excited about starting afresh in the US.”

According to her family, Akosua was known for her kind heart and determination. She worked tirelessly to support herself and her family back home.

Unfortunately, her journey was cut short by an unforeseen medical emergency, which led to her sudden death.

Her mother, who could barely hold back tears, pleaded for support

“I just want my daughter to come home,” she cried. “I cannot rest knowing she is so far away. Please help us bring her back.”

The family is now appealing for financial assistance to repatriate Akosua’s body back to Ghana for a proper burial. Repatriation costs are expensive, and the family cannot afford the high fees involved.

“It’s not just about money; it’s about honoring her memory and giving her the farewell she deserves,” Kwame explained.

“We’re calling on everyone—friends, community members, and kind-hearted individuals—to help us in this difficult time.”

Community leaders in Ghana have also rallied around the grieving family, urging people to contribute to the cause. Pastor Mensah, a family friend, emphasized the importance of coming together in times of need.

“This is a call for unity,” Pastor Mensah said during a community meeting. “Let’s show love and support to the Ama family. Every little bit helps.”

Friends of Akosua in the US have started an online fundraiser, sharing her story and calling for donations.

“She was a wonderful person who touched so many lives,” one friend wrote on the fundraiser page. “Let’s help her family bring her home.”

The family remains hopeful that with the community’s support, they will raise enough money to repatriate Akosua’s body and lay her to rest in her homeland.

“We believe in the power of people coming together,” Kwame said. “Thank you to everyone who has already supported us. Your kindness means the world to us.”
