Captain Smart, a prominent Ghanaian journalist, recently opened up about his personal life and career during an appearance on Onua TV. The outspoken broadcaster shared candid details about his relationships and alleged misconduct while working at Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), including claims against his former boss, Dr. Kwaku Oteng.
Addressing rumors about his personal life, Captain Smart vehemently denied accusations of promiscuity, stating that the number of women he has been involved with is fewer than 14. “I swear, the suffering I have gone through in this life, the number of women who have seen my naked body will not reach 14,” he emphasized.
The journalist also discussed a particular incident at ABN, involving a receptionist named Grace and the General Manager. Captain Smart claimed to have witnessed suspicious behavior when he saw Grace inside the General Manager’s office, with the door locked for an extended period. He raised concerns about what may have transpired behind closed doors, suggesting possible misconduct.
Additionally, Captain Smart revealed that he faced significant professional challenges at ABN, including gossip and sabotage, which ultimately led to his resignation. “They gossiped about me a lot when I was at ABN. So, I called Kwaku Oteng and told him I won’t work for you again,” he recounted.
He also claimed political interference played a role in his departure, alleging that members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) pressured Dr. Oteng to fire him. According to Captain Smart, the NPP told Oteng that his daughter, Francisca Oteng, could not become a Deputy Minister unless he terminated his contract with Captain Smart. He teased listeners, promising to reveal more details about this claim later.
Captain Smart’s revelations have sparked significant public debate, particularly regarding the relationship between politics, media, and private businesses in Ghana. His candidness has drawn both support and criticism from the public.
