Hon. Hannah Bissiw, National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made shocking allegations against journalist and *Good Evening Ghana* host Paul Adom-Otchere, accusing him of making inappropriate advances toward her.
In a recent interview, Hon. Bissiw recounted an unsettling incident that has sparked widespread outrage. “There was a need to meet Paul Adom-Otchere to discuss political matters,” she began. “I called him to confirm his availability, and he suggested we meet one evening. I told him I would come to his place to discuss the issue.”
However, according to her, the conversation took an unexpected and offensive turn. “Paul shamelessly told me I should come over so he could romance me,” she alleged. “I told him, ‘Don’t joke with me. How dare you? I am a 52-year-old married woman. You cannot say such things to me.’”
The allegations have provoked national outrage, with many questioning Adom-Otchere’s professionalism and ethics as a journalist. Hon. Bissiw, known for her resilience in politics, did not hold back in addressing the incident.
“I am the NDC National Women’s Organizer. I have endured physical confrontations for politics, and I have fought back when necessary. You cannot intimidate me with such vile comments,” she said.
Hon. Bissiw also alleged that Paul Adom-Otchere fled to London following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) loss of power. “Paul has run away, but I will ensure that Interpol arrests him from his hideout in London,” she declared.
These allegations have reignited discussions about the treatment of women in politics and media, with calls for a thorough investigation. While Adom-Otchere has yet to respond, Ghanaians are demanding accountability and justice for what many view as a serious abuse of power.
