The outgoing Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West who is also the Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has thanked her people in an emotional farewell message. She said the next chapter of her life is unfolding and she is waiting what God has in store for her.
In a post Ursula shared on her official Facebook page on 14th December 2024, she wrote;
“Thank you Ablekuma West!! Sayonara….Thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve. Next chapter in my life unfolding so let’s see what He has in store for me. Looking into the future with confidence.”
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful lost the Ablekuma West seat to NDC’s Rev Kweku Addo in the 7th December 2024 elections.

Ursula Owusu’s message has received several reactions.
“Well done for the enormous projects you gave to your constituency and for making my Student Joyce Yaa Owusuwaa Yeboah a fine legal luminary. Blessings” A user wrote.
“You did well madam but serve your people with humility,patience & compassion. God bless you and keep you for us. Come back stronger.” Another user added.
Despite the praises some users were brutal.
A user wrote; I thought you said you and Ablekuma West is “till death”.You now realize that the Power of the people is far greater than the people in power, it will dawn on you now.”
