Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has boldly said that his leadership and the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) vision for the future are the primary reasons why they will win the next elections.

Dr. Bawumia reacted to former President John Mahama’s comments by telling a big crowd at a rally that his government’s track record of accomplishments and plans for Ghana’s future made him the greatest choice for the country.

“I’m winning this election because of my proven track record and the vision I have for the future of this country,” the doctor said.

“Under President Akufo-Addo and my leadership, we’ve made enormous progress in modernizing Ghana. We worked hard to correct what was broken, and now we’re seeing tangible benefits.”

Dr. Bawumia emphasized progress in a variety of areas, including infrastructure, digitalization, and the business environment.

He noted that Ghana is now seen as a leader in the digital economy, thanks to advancements such as mobile money interoperability and the use of digital property addresses.

These, he claimed, demonstrate the government’s dedication to modernizing the country.

“We introduced advancements that made life easier for Ghanaians. “We’ve modernized the economy and expanded access to services through technology,” he explained. “This is a government that works for the people and puts the nation’s needs first.”

The Vice President also stated that the NPP’s objective is to build on previous successes, ensure stability, and promote long-term economic growth.

He ridiculed the idea of reverting to the past, citing Mahama’s administration as failing to handle crucial challenges including as electricity shortages and economic instability.

“We will not repeat the mistakes of the past,” Dr. Bawumia continued. “Mahama had a chance, but it didn’t work. Now we must look forward, not backward. We have a vision for a better Ghana, and we can see the consequences now.”

In a direct challenge to Mahama, Dr. Bawumia stated that the NPP’s dedication to progress and development is unparalleled.

“I urge you to vote for a brighter future, not a return to old problems,” according to him.
