Akufo-Addo grants approval for Wa, Ho and Sunyani Municipalities to be upgraded to Metropolitan Assemblies

President Akufo-Addo has granted Executive approval for some districts to be upgraded to municipalities and some municipalities to metropolises.

In a press release on December 4, 2024, the Local Government Ministry said the executive approval was given after a request from the Ministry in accordance with the legal provisions as stipulated in Act 936.
