A young woman in Accra has shared her distressing story on a radio station, Kasapa FM, after falling victim to blackmail involving her nude video. The woman, who described herself as a businesswoman active on social media, recounted how she was approached by a man under the guise of a financial opportunity to boost her business. She explained that the man contacted her through TikTok, pretending to represent a woman who promised financial assistance. Later, the man proposed a meeting to discuss further details.
At the meeting, which took place in a hotel, the man offered her GH¢2,000 in exchange for recording a nude video of herself. She reluctantly agreed, hoping the money would help her business. However, after the recording, the man claimed he could not transfer the money immediately due to network issues and promised to send it later. Days passed, but the payment never arrived. When she confronted him, he responded with threats to leak the video unless she stayed silent. Feeling betrayed and fearing for her reputation, the woman reported the matter to the police and sought advice through the radio station. She warned others about the dangers of falling into similar traps and urged caution when dealing with online strangers.
