World Vision Ghana has announced a new initiative to enhance the quality and reliability of water services in several communities across the country.
The project will see the installation of water storage tanks in the Asunafo Asutifi North, Ahafo Kenyase, and Goaso municipalities in the Ahafo Region, as well as parts of the Oti and Volta Regions.
This initiative follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between World Vision Ghana and Polytank Ghana Limited. The partnership aims to improve access to clean water, enhance sanitation, and promote sustainable development across beneficiary communities.
Speaking at the event, Jean-Claude Mukadi, Interim National Director of World Vision Ghana, reiterated the organization’s dedication to uplifting communities, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to improving lives through such impactful projects.
“Water is essential to life, and unfortunately, many people in underserved regions of our nation face daily challenges in accessing clean water. Together with Polytank, we are prepared to transform these challenges into successes.
“Through this partnership, we will ensure that the 26 storage tanks provided by Polytank are strategically distributed to communities, schools, and health centres in critical need of clean water solutions”.
“This is just the beginning. Our joint efforts in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives will enhance public health outcomes, promote environmental sustainability, and empower community members to take charge of their own development, further advancing the targets set under SDG 6.”
The Business Head of Polytank Ghana Limited Girender Mohinani expressed joy in the partnership as he revealed the move forms part of the company’s mission to support households.
