In order to express their condolences for the loss of their mother, Mrs. Deborah Wengam, former President John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), visited General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, separately in Accra.
“Blessed is thy womb for giving birth to such a precious spiritual leader,” wrote former President Mahama, a member of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, in a book of condolence. May God give Mama Deborah, our mother, a restful sleep in paradise. Rest in peace. “May the good Lord we serve receive your spirit and grant you eternal rest,” said Dr. Prempeh. I’ll see you at Christ’s second coming. May you rest in peace.
Former President Mahama and Dr. Prempeh received “sincere appreciation” from Rev. Wengam for their condolences. On November 25, 2024, the funeral for Rev. Wengam’s mother will be held in Accra. On October 7, 2024, she passed away at the age of 71.
