Video Shows Boy Driving at High Speed Day Before Accident

Recent reports from Ghanacelebrities and Ghpage have revealed that the driver involved in the tragic accident (the driver who caused the accident) in East Legon is a 16-year-old boy who doesn’t have a driver’s license and isn’t fit to even have one considering his age.

Allegedly, the Jaguar he was driving belongs to his mother, but he often takes it out. Reports indicate that his father is a well-known prophet in Ghana, Prophet Elisha Salifu Amoako.

The accident occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024, when the boy collided with an Acura vehicle near the Omama Shop. A spokesperson for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), ADO Alex King Nartey, explained that the crash caused a wooden electric pole to fall, leading to a fire that engulfed both cars. Tragically, two women trapped inside the Acura were burned beyond recognition.

Eyewitnesses described a terrifying scene as thick black smoke filled the air. Despite the quick response from firefighters, the flames had already consumed the vehicles, leaving no chance for escape. Here’s the full video of the accident:

Just a day before the accident, the 16-year-old posted a video online of himself speeding, showcasing reckless behavior that many now see as a warning sign. Here’s the video he posted before the accident:

This has sparked outrage among Ghanaians, who are calling for justice for the victims and accountability for the young driver.

Many people believe the teen should face severe penalties, with some calling for life imprisonment, while others argue he should be banned from driving for life. Here are some of the comments:
