A spiritual awakening through afro-sound and ancestral wisdom

'Candle Light' is a spiritual awakening through afro-sound and ancestral wisdom play video‘Candle Light’ is a spiritual awakening through afro-sound and ancestral wisdom

The composition of Candle Light begins with dissonant chord changes and intense modulations of keys, intertwined with the majestic and trill sound of Enam.

Her high notes sirens out to Africans in the diaspora, undeniably summoning their inner Gods to attention, ‘Would you believe, if I ever told you, if I ever told you, you are God, all the lies disregarded.’ Do you know who you really are? If not, the song Candle Light will manifest the real you.

The seductive sound of Enam, a Ghanaian musician known for her unique Afro-Spiritual Sound, is followed by the raps of Mista Silva, a UK-born Ghanaian Artist who is a pioneer for Afro-beats in the UK and an Award-winning and 3-time MOBO nominated Artist.

Lyrical Joe, a Ghanaian-born Rapper/Songwriter with EP releases that have made waves through the Ghanaian mainstream media, and Osofo Kojo Bentsir, the founder and Chief Priest of the Organisation ‘Mekra,’ which is taking African, Europe, United Kingdom, America, and other countries across the world by storm.

Invasion and indoctrination from the west have led to miseducation, misguidance, and destruction of all countries across the world, particularly for Africans in the Continent and the diaspora. Once rooted in their own traditions, customs, culture, and beliefs, many no longer know the honesty of their true being.

Candle Light exemplifies the need for each individual and community to go back and align with the teachings of their foremothers and forefathers. It teaches that knowing ‘you are a God and the builder of your destiny’ is key to the awakening of the African Nations.

Once a Continent rich in culture, spirituality, and traditions, which are the very foundations for the civilization of the world, Africa has fallen victim to the demonization of the practices of their ancestors from transatlantic slavery followed by the imposition and constraints of dogma and religion.

What does history tell us? Before the appropriation of the West, Africans were and still are Spiritual. The African Ancestors understood the spiritual mysteries that weave in with Science and the Cosmos, which the west is only now beginning to recognize.

What does this teach us? It teaches us that our ancestors were far more advanced beings than the west and that these practices that the west once perceived as primitive are now being studied.

Our ancestors knew we were advanced beings having Earthly experiences and could use elements such as Water, Fire, Air, and Earth to connect to their cosmic ancestry and revere Creative Forces who hold the true-life essences in which you are embodied. What do you think you created before you chose to come to this earth realm? Death is not the end but the beginning of transcendence into the spiritual realms.

Death, in the sense that you are casting away the façade of the world and bringing into existence the original intent, thought, and construct of the divine, which is for you to connect to the Cosmos realms beyond your imagination. On this reflection, the chorus of the song Candle Light once again rings true… You are GOD! #
